Mail Inline Images

Good morning,

I am using OS X Yosemite w/ Mail Version 8.2 (2104). A daily report sent via email contains several images. The images are not displayed in the email, just an icon labeled email attachment. In another email client, the images display and , in the case of this report, the status of the backup of our server is easily deciphered at a glance. Not to mention the report is nicely formatted.

I have already tried turning DisableInlineAttachmentViewing on and off with no affect. The Safari option to open Safe Files is turned on, and the Mail option to view Remote Content is selected. Right clicking on the icon does not offer an option to view it inline.

Will it be necessary to move to another mail client to view these email as originally formatted by the sender?
